The last time I saw Austin, he was practically a new born. We met up again just before his first birthday to take some images with the family in Stanley Park. Thanks for a fun session!

Kim + Kieran tie the knot at Royal Vancouver Yacht Club

I loved the grey and yellow accents that dotted Kim and Kieran’s wedding at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. They even had an antique grey and yellow car to accesorize their bridal party portraits. Such an elegant wedding where all the fine details were meticulous. Congratulations to you both!

It was such an honour to photograph your day

Sneak Peek: Cat + Ernie's Steveston Village Engagement Session

I LOVE shooting in Steveston. Here are a couple of images from Cat + Ernie’s Engagement session. I’m just teasing you with a few as they are yet to come and view their images at the studio on the big screen. Thanks for a fun shoot you two!

Word on the street: Mona Sultan's debut scarf collection

Back in January I had the pleasure of working with Mona Sultan on her debut scarf collection entitled ‘Word on the Street’. When I saw the collection I instantly fell in love with it’s bold designs and bright colours. They would make any plain white t-shirt really pop! And, if you know me, you would know that I am an avid scarf collector; I’ve actually lost count how many scarves I have in my wardrobe.

The shoot was inspired by street photography and the images have an ‘in the moment’ kind of feel. I also love how Mona plays with the scarves to create new ways to wear them. My favourite being ‘the dress’ where she drapes the scarf along the dress and secures it with a belt to create a new shape altogether. Rachel Nichols (actress from the new show Continuum) was also snapped wearing one of her designs at Vancouver International Airport earlier this year.

Mona is definitely one to watch.

I’m working with Mona again this summer on her new fall/winter scarf line which will be launched in September. Her new creations are extraordinary and you will love how she wants you to wear them. To make way for the new line, her Spring/Summer line (seen below) will be on Sale in August. So, watch this space… Something tells me her designs will go fast!

For more insight into her collections, check out her blog or you can check out her media kit here.

The Ganeff's

This is probably one of my favourite shoots from a while back. Not only do I love the Ganeff’s and the freak snow storm that we encountered half-way through the session, but it reminds me of the early MCS Photo days.

Chelsea had bought the gift certificate as a Christmas present for her parents back in 2008. At the time I had just moved back to Vancouver and had only just started MCS Photo. Due to her family being really busy and siblings being on opposite ends of the earth, the shoot didn’t take place until February of this year (2012).  When they came to view their photos at the studio and brought the gift certificate back, I almost didn’t recognize it as it was my first generation of gift certificates that I designed myself. What a journey it has been since then!

I had so much fun photographing the Ganeff’s and loved that the snow came to surprise us!

I hope it won’t take four years for you all to be together again!
